About Therapies

About Therapies Acupressure A blend of "acupuncture" and "pressure" is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) technique derived from acupuncture. In acupressure physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points by the hand, elbow, or with various devices. Reviews of acupressure clinical trials have been conducted by the Cochrane Collaboration and Bandolier according to the protocols of evidence-based medicine; for most conditions they have concluded a lack of effectiveness or lack of well-conducted clinical trials. List all therapists that offer Acupressure Accupunture Is a technique of inserting and manipulating fine filiform needles into specific points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes. The word acupuncture comes from the Latin acus, "needle", and pungere, "to prick". In Standard Mandarin, 針砭 (zhēn biān) (a related word, 針灸 (zhēn jiǔ), refers to acupuncture together with moxibustion). The subconscious mind records everything that has ever happened in a person's life and the effect this has on the body. It is with this information that we get to the underlying causes of problems. Priority areas for healing are identified with scan lists and corrections made by reprogramming the subconscious mind, allowing the body to heal and come back into a natural state of balance. Scientific evidence is growing and preliminary but encouraging for a number of health issues. Essential oils differ in chemical composition from other herbal products because the distillation process only recovers the lighter phytomolecules. For this reason essential oils are rich in monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes, as well as other VOC substances (esters, aromatic compounds, non-terpene hydrocarbons, some organic sulfides etc.). About SNTR

Mission statement
Empowering individuals in their journey towards Health and Wellbeing.

SNTR Point of Difference
The Society of Natural Therapists & Researchers Inc. is not a training facility. It is a legally registered Incorporated Society formed as a body in 1994 to cover and assist different kinds of Natural Therapists representing a variety of modalities. To qualify for the Natural Health Practitioners through the register, documented proof which meets Natural Health Practitioners minimum standards must be supplied.

Ongoing Training
Once a Member has been approved, accepted and proposed for chartering we will require that they undertake 20 hours further ongoing training, examination, participation in refresher courses and advanced workshops and present attendance verification or certification for that respective modality. This is an important aspect concerning all, to maintain the high standards required by SNTR Inc. and to ensure continuing high levels of professionalism in practice.

Code of Ethics/Conduct/Practice
All chartered SNTR Inc. Members; should a complaint of code of behaviour or malpractice be laid against them, will be subject to investigation at the various levels of disciplinary action both within SNTR Inc. and if necessary, the Natural Health Practitioners. In this instance, it is of the utmost importance that co-operative, open communication be maintained between SNTR Inc, its Member, the respective training establishment and Natural Health Practitioners in order that a fair and just system is conducted.
